Hodgepodge is a catch-all Button Men Online set for buttons of unknown and humorous origin. Some artwork from the original Button Men Online site have been recreated due to a loss of the original image file. Those known to have been replaced are noted with a "*" beside their name.

		According to Bull Ratkovich: "I had this "ork smiley face" icon that I used at the time I was working for FASA doing convention organizing for Shadowrun, and the logo represented my character, an ork decker named Bull. So I worked up a button. I got ahold of the folks at CAG (Nicole Lindroos specifically, iirc) and made a deal to pay them to help me make a bunch of buttons if I brought in a print. I wanted to hand these out to friends, as I'd seen some other folks at the cons doing unofficial buttons like that. I didn't want to mess with any of the special rules, and some of the special buttons I'd seen were kinda broken, so I figured a base button was safest and easiest so my button was still playable. I did 25 or so of the original red smiley logo button. The following year I bought myself a hand press to make my own buttons, and did a green version of the smiley logo to pass out. I was able to make a lot more of those, and probably did 50 or so." Original second-edition Bull artwork

Eeyore is a CMU graduate Original button blank named Elliot C. Evans. It is a functional reprint of Niles from the Soldiers set. "I took a digital photo of myself, and created a Button Man from it, using the stats of a Button Man I had purchased (Niles). Because James Ernest is really good at setting up balanced economies in his games, I didn't want to monkey with something I didn't really understand at that point. I didn't want to try to create a character who unbalanced the game by being too strong, and I didn't want to have a button that was too weak, so, I just copied something I knew fit into the existing game well. I printed out the file and made a button of it. I also made a parody of a pouch insert from the game packaging." "Released" April 2000.
