Blademasters is a fan expansion designed by Ligaya Caes who also designed the unofficial Japanese Beetle set.[1] It introduced Parry Dice, an inverted Insult Dice. The rare for the sets is Bayani [(F) (SFD) (16) (16) (12/20)], who has a Fudged Die and Sustainted Fire Die. Most of the original artwork, with the exception of two, was lost until contact was made with Reah Shelley, author of Button Men: The Book. Please note these illustrations are from the initial release of the set. The recipes for some of the buttons changed after release, and those recipes are the ones currently used in Button Men Online.
The Parry Die was initially identical to the Insult Die, but later Ligaya decided they would be better thematically if they were unable to be Power Attacked, making the die distinct from the Insult Die that originated in the Gaming Guardians set.
Only the first Blademasters set had artwork produced.

This set introduced Aggressive and Defensive dice as well as the Cross attack. No known art exists for this set.
This set was intended to have sets of three: one good, one bad, and one ugly.[2]
