KublaCon is a promotional set of two Button Men for the 2005 KublaCon.

When asked about the origin of the set, the convention replied

James is a good friend of the show and has been to every convention since 2003.  In 2005, Cheapass Games offered KublaCon a change to create and distribute a limited edition Button Man set.  This set included the 2005 Kubla Mascot Art, a Pirate Captain and an alternate made just for the Button Men, the Space Kublanaut. KublaCon Game Convention got its name from the famous Samual Tayler Coleridge poem, Kubla Khan which begins, "/In Xanadu did Kubla Khan/A stately pleasure-dome decree:/Where Alph, the sacred river, ran/Through caverns measureless to man/" From that opening, we consider KublaCon Game Convention to the stately pleasure-dome where gamers run through rooms upon rooms of games.

The skills introduced in the KublaCon button set have currently not been used in any other Button Men set or design.
